Automated / Drive through car wash safe?
Anyone have any problems with scraping/rubbing on a stock suspension Fit Sport? or with their antenna?
--Please no comments about how it could damage paint, and I should hand wash it, etc
Thanks!

I go through an automatic touchless wash everytime I get gas. This one is the type with the conveyer belt that pulls your car through. Never had any problems.
I have also gone through the same type of wash, but it had brushes. The brushes lifted up my passenger side windshield wiper turned, it upside down, then pushed it back down, so the wiper hit the windshield with its metal arm. I just instantly knew my windshield had cracked, just because the sound it made. But the windshield was fine. Also it folded in one of my mirrors, and folded out the other. Also, the was a very expensive wash, about $20.
Thats the only info I can offer, but I can only say that the ONLY automatic wash that I will go through is a touchless type.

I take my chances. I use the wash @ the Honda dealer. I've got JDM window visors. So far everything's still attached. I cringe as to guide my wheels into the rails that move the car. I sounds like it scrapes the rims, but when I check they're ok. It's 18 bucks. Ugh.
Unfortunately, I use this wash cuz I can't wash my car @ my apartment complex. If I could...I'd wash it myself all the time.

to cold to wash rite now. I bring my car to a hand wash place for 20$ machines spray the stuff on and spray the water but little mexican men do the washing with there brushes so its safer then the big machines. lol

There's several DIY spray-wash+wax machine places near me in NJ. Rarely costs more than $4.00 in quarters to both wash and spray wax it, and also vacuum the interior. -Just hafta be real careful not to get any spray wax on the windshield or the wipers tho...

Those dang sprayers never get the dirt off though...To me they are a waste because the only way to get the dirt off is to scrub with the brush but then you are guaranteed to scratch your paint. I have wasted so much money thinking I got my car clean and then it dries, only to see the same dirt still stuck to the side panels.

Literally just got back from having it done, and didn't have a single problem. I wash mine by hand if possible, but winter months in upstate NY can get rough. But there was no rubbing, and I agree that it's a good idea to take out the antenna

I've not had problems with anything rubbing, but now know to avoid the 'tire scrubber'. Damned thing missed my tires entirely and ended up leaving scratches in my doors.
