Your Scan Gauge reading under sub zero temperature?
For all of you who live in places that's under 0c these days, what are your scan gauge intake air temperature & water temperature reading compare with the outside temperature?
For u guys who lives in Canada or high elevation area do u get enough heat from the heater when it's sub zero outside? What is your water temperature like while u drive to school or work these days?

My water temperature is always between 76C and 79C while driving above 50 km/h. It goes up to 89C when idling or in slow traffic.
Intake air temperature usually reads 2C or 3C warmer than actual outside temperature during summer months. In the depths of winter it usually reads 2C or 3C colder than actual outside temperature.
I have driven at 110 km/h for 10 hours, at -43C and was warm and cozy in the driver seat and all windows were clear with the fan on '4'.
A lot of my driving is done in the mountains between an altitude of 1000m and 1300m.

For the water temperature driving above 50kph & in slow traffic, that's after how long u've been driving the car for? 15min after start up or?

This is after the car has warmed up to operating temperatures by driving it. In the summer it doesn't take long, in the middle of winter it takes a bit longer. The Fit engine is designed to run like this, and the coolant temperatures are well within acceptable limits. The highest I have seen is 92C. If you start hitting 100C plus, you have the beginnings of a problem...

I leave it in. It doesn't hurt anything. Like all LED displays exposed to cold environments, it is slow to respond until the ambient temperature rises.

I'm using the card board trick myself. Water temp did reach 100c in stop & go traffic. But of course cooling fan kicks in once temperature gets high. As far as I hear from a few technicians & tuners they all says if it doesn't get over 100c it's still acceptable. Once traffic free up then it goes down to mid 80 to low 90c range.
Heater can get warm up the interior much quicker even I just turn the fan to "1"...
