Friends VW GTI stolen

I just found out today a guy I know had his VW GTI stolen across from the Charleston Mall. He lost his keys out of his pocket and did not realize it until he went to pull something out of his pockets. When they went to go back to the car it was gone. If you live in any neighboring states to WV please keep your eyes opened for this car. It is super nice and everyone thinks it will be parted out and sold. Here is a picture:

They found Christians car:

Car was stripped and set on fire. The last time I saw the car was at a car show and he won a trophy. Really makes me sick.

The local punks living in the projects next door to where I work were stealing cars from our lot at the rate of 2 or 3 a month. A buddy's car had over 1K in CD's in the back seat and they were still in the car when it was burned. They'd drive around for a while and then torch them.

Sorry for your friend's loss. That second picture was taken on a hill, yes? Looks like the guy on the right is about to fall down.

Yes, you know how our WV Mountains are! The guys that found it were in a Jeep - riding out in the woods and all are members of a local Jeep forum. They found the car and reported it to the police who had it towed into a lot in Elkview. Christian is really sick over this and said looking at the car he could not believe it was his. He was able to see the coilovers and then he knew it was his car. He is meeting with the adjusters on Thursday to find out how much they will pay for a replacement but of course it will not cover all the aftermarket parts he had put on the car. We are hoping for the best but you never know when dealing with insurance.

Absolutely ridiculous. People who do things like this to other peoples rides should be dragged way out into a field and shot in the stomach. I know that sounds terrible, but I have absolutely no compassion for thieves. Most useless people on the planet. That picture is just terrible. Its not even my car, and it makes me sick. Give your friend our best wishes and deepest condolences on his loss.

Sorry for your freind's car Cat :x this shows me we need a hidden kill switch under the dash. mini toggle wired into the ignition. It's a real shame that this thing is a reality but precaution now will help this from happening in our futures.
Sorry!

Christian downloaded this pictures on our local forum. I am like you all this just makes me sick that someone did this. He will find out on Thursday how much the insurance will do on the car.

What is left of a nice clean engine.
