looking to mod my new to me fit

hi, ive had my 07 honda fit for about a month and a half now. i just want to make it more fun to drive. a friend of mine knows a lot about cars and hondas, and he will help me with anything i want to do to it.

T1R Rear Disc Brake conversion $750
T1R Carbon Intake $275
T1R Exhaust B Pipe $325
T1R 50S Muffler $325
T1R Header $400
15x7 Enkei RPF1 Wheels $800
Tein Basic Coilovers $900

Total $3775

that doesnt include tires (he said 5-600 tops for tires) and i should set aside a couple hundred bucks for unexpected things (so i set aside 500 for that). he said i can also convert my headlights to hidīs for about 100 bucks or a little more. i want to do 5k or 6k hidīs because i think the higher ones are too blue or purple.

what do you guys think? is this a good list? $5000 is my budget (i bought the car for 10,000 so i think spending more than 5000 is just insane)

for that budget buy kelsodeez's turbo kit, make 200 hp, by the rear disks and some c/o's and you'll be one happy dude!

that turbo kit is over 3,000. im only slated to spend about 1200 on horsepower parts right now. i dont think the fit is too slow. i dont want to make it fast. i like it because i can run it through the gears and not be going too fast. just like my ninja 250. not the fastest motorcycle ever, but i can have a blast on it, whiteline in traffic, and still break 100mph if i need to.

i just want something fun to drive.

yeah, but their stuff seems to perform pretty decent, and is priced in my budget. if you guys have some input, im more than willing to look around for better deals, or better performance for a similiar price.

wow, the 15x7 enkeis are over 3 lbs lighter a piece than the 16x7. i called my freind and he said thats really good, and that it would probably be better to keep the same size as the stock rims because of some scientific ass shit about the radius and torque or something. sweet! this is the kind of help i was hoping to get. thanks guys!

i just got my T1R 50S (Version 1 w/ the straight tip) last week. it's pretty nice, not loud and ricey and it has a nice low tone to it. it doesn't drone too much at the lower RPMs either

ohh i paid $250 for mine too (new)

All great suggestions so far.

Id do this:

Coilovers, 15mm Kics spacers on stock wheels but run 195/50/15's Fuzion ZR, exhaust (for noise), and either nitrous or turbo.

Intake/header, etc is not going to net you much. Get forced induction.

Also a good idea to swap out your head unit. The stereo's kinda crappy on the GD's.

Like Kenchan says add the cost of an HU at the very least. It'll do wonders for your driving pleasure. Cheap-but-good component speakers can come later.

Actually if it were up to me I'd do the wheels and tires first, then suspension. Not much point in making the Fit faster IMO so you're on the right track modding the suspension. If you can find TEIN Super Compact coilovers those will ride much better than the Basics you're eyeing.

Good luck and let us know what happens

lol koi.

yea, do susp. first then do any power mods n see where you end up. personally it's pointless to do the standard i/h/e cause most of the time yer prolly gonna be losing power and/or not getting much of anything for your money except the bling factor n noise to come with it.
