Fit Wins Best of Show Post 1975

Just wanted to share the news! I have been showing my Fit all summer at local car shows and had my first Best Tuner win at the end of May. Then I went to two shows after that and did not even get judged. They were awarding Import/Tuner awards and at one show a Stang actually won Tuner. All us Honda owners were getting burned out because we were not even being judged. I went to one show and these guys kept pointing at my car and saying "There is what killed Detroit". Well I went to another show yesterday and my friend who owns a great modified Accord and another guy I know who owns an Element we all parked together. So we had a great day just hanging out and it was bad because it poured the rain so we had to redetail the cars before judging started. Anyway, I was thinking the Fit was not going to win anything because they had given out all the Top 25 car awards and the Kids Choice. I never go thinking that I will win anything it is just fun hanging out with my friends and getting to see some great cars. Well I was shocked but the Fit won Best Of Show Post 1975! It was hard to believe especially when there were lots of Hondas, Preludes, and modified American cars.

The Best of Show was a beautiful crystal trophy and the award I won in May for Best Tuner at the Scion Car Culture Throw Down in May

Pretty clean engine bay for a daily driver!

Isn't your car a stock Sport with some Factory Mugen stuff and some stickers? Didn't think stock cars won much in the tuner market.

Good job!

Thanks! We ended up the summer with one Best Tuner, one Best of Show Post 1975, One Top 25, One Best Paint, (can you believe it! takes me hours to get it to look like that) and One Best Presentation. Here is a picture from the last show:

I know especially for a almost three year old Fit! I was lucky because for that show I washed in Deep Crystal Meguiars soap, Meguiars Clay Bar and NXT Tech Wax 2.0. It was due for the end of summer claying and that always gives it a nice reflective finish and the swirls are not so easy to see. I have used Meguiars since I started showing it and I have always been impressed with how good the products work on the Fits not so great paint. I normally clay it for the first show and then again before the last show. In between it gets washed and waxed at least once every 3 to 4 weeks during the summer shows. Those judges even got down on their hands and knees to look under the car - I have never had the car judged like that before!

WTG!

I really, REALLY need to get my MR Fit cleaned up before the snow starts flying. The new rims and tires went on it a couple of weeks ago but it needs to be clayed and waxed. The wife just doesn't 'get it'.

Not too many of those kinds of day left until spring but hope you can get it done. Are you close to South Williamson? We have a great show there in the spring and fall. They bring the dyno machine and they have classes just for the imports plus they have a burnout contest which is fun!
