And she actually likes the shocker! The act that is, not the sticker. Gotta wonder about them Balmer girls LOL Good to see a shop taking an interest in a young person who wants to learn from the ground up. The order of mods is a little wierd though, a 900$ Seibon carbon hatch before a set of 175$ knock-off LED tails? To each their own I suppose.

then as a shop you guys should discourage fake knock off parts that look terrible and dont fit right.

i'm all for people doing what they want....but unfortunately, some things are just flat out terrible and this is one of them. i'm not saying its indicative of you guys or what YOU as a shop are capable of...but man....

and kudos to whoever pointed out that it makes no sense to spend 900 bucks on carbon fiber parts, but you cant spend 170 for real mugen visors?

whats with all the hate? just because someone didnt go the "jdm" route or the way you built your car doesnt mean you should bash on them. its their car and they can do whatever they want to it.

as for those that say "fake this, copy that" but how many people here have the authentic honda led tail lights or the authentic spoon wing? also, anyone with the tailgate garnish for the USDM Bumper got a "copy" one. but i dont see them getting put on blast when they post up pics

they obviously just wanted to show the progress of their car and get peoples feedback on how it looks now. and saying "its rice! or its ugly" is not constructive criticism

i guess what im trying to say is if you dont like the car that your opinion but you dont have to flame/bash them for it.

btw, and i never meant to say "you shouldnt say what you want" i didnt mean it come out that way. i just wanted people to consider it is someones car, their pride and joy if you will, and if you dont like it you dont have to bash on them for it. just say you dont like it. dont say "its fake parts, etc etc its ugly"

if i dont like someone car i wont say anything, but if i really feel the need to, ill say "yeah not my taste maybe you just do this...etc etc"

yeah i see what you're saying but that being said:

the kit doesn't fit right (literally and appearance-wise IMO)
the color scheme is over the top
just looks kind of bulbous IMO but its her car she can do what she wants

I am under the impression that different lighting and camera settings would make a big difference in the way the car comes across in photos.... I am not a superficial trust fund baby that places a value on something based on designer labels or whether it comes from Wal Mart or Nieman Marcus and don't understand people with that mentality, except that it displays an insecure need to feel or express superiority..... I think there is something very wrong with a person that will spend 4 times more for a JDM product than for a knock off product that looks the same and performs the same function just as well, and then criticizes a person that does..... The man posted asking for constructive criticism and got put downs instead and others here posting kudos to the put downs..... Real class.

i give all of them a hard time for their knockoff parts.

there is no constructive way to say something is rice either.

By most people's standards anything JDM is considered Rice..... Ask any Harley rider or hardcore muscle car owner.
