Hatch garnish redo - CF

I would like opinions as to my consideration of revamping the chrome piece that I got from Zeta. This is what it looks like now:

I am thinking of putting carbon fiber sheeting over this piece to take down the bling. I will keep the Mugen badge but am just playing with the idea of covering the chrome piece in carbon fiber sheeting. I did just purchase a CF license plate holder and recently installed a carbon fiber center console kit - so I am also going to remove the chrome gauge piece that I got from Zeta and cover it with CF also. Ok what do you think? Change it up or leave it as it is.

I think the CF would look good, but it would be easier to tell with a wider shot. Have you posted up pics of your other CF stuff?

Hey - I was not ignoring you - I just assumed you were jerking my flea collar and you know how that can make a cat feel! Meow!

Leave it the way it is! I don't see any other car rock it like you do. That's one hella sexy rear you got there already. Too much CF will destroy the cleaniss!!!

I would paint it all black if it were me. Carbon fiber on the exterior of a DD is just not my cup of tea

sell the chrome to me =)

I dont think anyone makes a CF piece for that section? But that doesn't mean you can by a sheet of CF applique and cut it to fit

Leave the chrome on the gauge rings and do the background in the carbon applique. I did this to mine and it looks really good, subtle almost OE, just the way I like it. I'll put some pics up tomorrow when the sun is up again so you can see it. I would have passed on the carbon on the garnish just because it wouldn't have wanted to stay put for very long.

The cluster looks pretty good, but you shouldve cut it so the weaves all go one way.

^^Thanks guys! I realized after I had put the cluster back in the car that I didn't manage to cut the applique so the weave ran in one direction. That led to me using a few of my best bad words I assure you... This winter when I'm bored I may re-do it.
