Keys, Keyless entry, tires etc
I am a new owner of a rebuild 2007 FIT "Sportoid". It's really a base model with fog, spoiler, power options, and 4 beautiful 16" tantanium colour wheels.
The car came with only 1 manual key. Where can I go for the most reasonable priced rekeying. I hope this car had keyless entry, but if not, can it be installed, and for how much?
What 205 45 16 tires do people recommend? The ones that came with the car are extremely noisy, and with the tread wear, I am sure won't be lasting long.
Any one installed K&N filter? What is the improvement on horsepower?
What kind of OBD equipment do I need for diagnosis?
THanks.

I have a sport model and hated the BridgeStones that the car came with. They were loud, didn’t grip that well and wore out real fast. I’ve replaced them Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s. They grip much better than the BS’s, I can’t get them to hydroplane, they’re almost as quiet as the stock 15-inchers on the sport model and they have out lasted the BS’s 2:1. I’ve just worn out this set and I’ve purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s but in 205/50R16 size instead of 205/45R16. I’ve done this for 3 reasons. The speedometer reads 1.2% high with the 45s…the larger diameter will over compensate for that. The potholes in the Chicago area are crater size…I’ve already bent 2 rims, and replaced them. And this is the size of tire that goes on the 2009 Fit.
I’ve installed the K&N P/N 69-1016-1TS 69 Series Typhoon Performance Intake Kit and it is surprisingly loud. There is a surprising amount of intake noise that the stock air filter box muffles. If noise is a concern for you, this intake kit is not for you. Get the K&N P/N 33-2359 replacement filter instead. The Typhoon Performance Intake goes in easy, looks nice and does give a noticeable performance increase.
