Don't worry, I already purchased one.

I was just seeing what others thought of them.

I just put mine on, now trying to think of what to tie onto it lol I'm thinking a glowstick ;D

I ordered a set and the front one doesn't work so if anyone wants to buy it, I spent $90 for the set, I'll sell the front for $45 shipped it's brand new, save on shipping! It's black.

MAJOR arroz.

the argument that it is useful to lesen damage when hit from the rear is lame. especially since regardless if it does, it wasn't made to do so and benen doesnt make them for that purpose.

any part on your car that insinuates you do something with it other than just drive it daily, when you DON'T=rice. like immediately.

and we already have a tow hook people c'mon.

and the 'it looks good excuse'? hmmmm...whats that term used for aesthetic enhancements with seemingly legit performance benefit when there isnt any? oh yea....RICE.

the argument holds true...but your pro-cs are not rice. they help GREATLY with your cars handling, the looks dept being improved is just a bonus.

its a functional part that you put to use everyday. not rice.

I'm always surprised when I get a email about this thread being revived.

As soon as I get my tow hook I'll get me a sticker that says rice in big ol letters and put it somewhere on the car just so people don't have to figure out if its rice themselves.

Funny debate, especially since there are still plenty of people that call any Japanese car "rice", modded or unmodded.

I voted no, because I've seen plenty of done-right imports, both Japanese and German, that also have tow hooks. Whether or not these cars actually see track time is beside the point. They are all done right. Lowered to the right height, proper ground effects kit, correctly sized rims and tires that do increase performance, etc.....

I don't have one on my car, but if at some point if I go turbo or supercharged, and do everything I want to to make my car really perform, and do it right, and take it to a track, then yes, I'll get a set of tow hooks.

And yes, although I don't worry about my car being hooked up by a tow truck operator because it's a Honda, you get some dumba## who doesn't know what he's doing, and he could cause damage to the bumper covers. The extended hook would prevent damage.

And the factory front tow hook really doesn't inspire confidence. Yea, it's probably good enough to do the job, but it looks like a bull mastiff could break it, let alone trying to tow your car.

So yea, if the rest of the car is done right, then it's not rice (see Towelie's car). If it's the only mod someone has done, then it really doesn't belong on the car.
