Yeah, I have on an older car. Duplicolor makes paint especially for parts such as wheels and brake calipers that can withstand heat. Only thing is, if you don't cure the wheel well after painting, it chips off very easily. I did 2 coats of primer, then 3-4 coats of a semi gloss black. oh and most importantly spray it evenly and consistently otherwise you get some parts all shiny from too much paint and other parts too rough from being too far. good stuff tho.

yea forreals especially from a mod. i expected a "Hey please use the search tool next time but here are a few results i found" instead of im not a dick blah blah. seeing he himself has painted wheels ud think he'd give advice u cant find from the ****ing searched threads. and when i painted my shit no one really talked about how to cure them well so no u cant find shit about curing a wheel on the search. and if hes a mod why cant they lock threads or delete? you'd think the mods would be the most helpful and welcoming, psh..

why don't you all join a different auto forum, and see what happens when you post something that's been posted before

then post back.

as far as curing the wheels what is suggested? the paint says to clean the wheels, hit em with 320 grit sandpaper, spray 2 light coats 10 min apart fallowed by a heavier coat. . . . . wait 3 hours before re-installing your wheels. . . . . . should i have em drying under hd heaters? """"""""""""""" thanks in advance.............glad im not the only one on this forum thats NOT perfect. i mean the whole point of a forum is for people with somthing in common to come 2gether and descuss that common. not to make people search all over for answers to questions""""""""""""i figure if someone is tired of talking to me about what im talking about, they dont have to talk!

I cured mine in a lame way, i used a heater to get it warm. but I had tires on so i was scared of messing them up wit a lot of heat. i cleared coated it after that to prevent chipping. but i guess the ideal way to cure it is to take off the tire and paint and cure jus the rim. its already a bitch to paint wit the tire on too. but ur best bet is to combine all the tips from all the different threads
