Cold weather gas smell
It's been very cold where I live and I smell gas when I start my car in the morning (or whenever my car's been sitting in the cold for a long time). The smell goes away after the car has been warmed up. I smell the gas when I open the door but the smell doesn't come into the car even when I have the vents on. Anybody have any ideas on why this may be? Thanks for your guys help.

don't worry, that's how it goes for every vehicle. it's a bunch of pollutants you're smelling actually. when you start a car and it's cold, it spews out a lot more pollution before it's warmed up, and that's what you smell. if you want to, you can start your car and then go to the tailpipe and get a tiny whiff of it. and after you've driven the car to normal temperatures, give it a whiff again and you'll smell the difference. but it's bad for you so don't do it unless you really don't believe me.

the longer you don't start any car in addition to weather you get even more flavor out of it. You may want to try marvel mystery oil in gas and oil in small amounts. It reduces friction on cold starts, helps it get going a lil easier
