Question Will a apartment size fridge Fit?

I need to purchase an apartment size fridge. The dimensions are:

width- 23 5/8"
depth- 24 9/16"
height- 58 13/16"

Would it fit in my Fit? Of course, the other concern is the weight (187 lbs). I wouldn't want to scratch up my rear bumper and tear out the rubber stripping on the rear door trying to lug the fridge in and out. Appreciate your thoughts on this!

Here are the specs on the fridge:

That might be a bit too long. There's a chance that it will be skinny enough that you can lay the front passenger seat down for long mode and have it be able to push up into that space. I'd measure how wide the area is when you have the passenger seat flat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't fridges have to be upright at all times otherwise the you could mess up the cooling system? Anyways, if you do get it to fit, I'd love to see pics

you can lay a fridge down, just have to right it for a few hours b4 turning it on.... im not sure if that fridge will fit, but for your interior if u line it with old towels or other fabric you should be good, i keep a beat up old comforter in mine for when i haul stuff

If it's too long and you're not going a very far distance, you can always just leave the hatch open and bungee the fridge in.

Look! Twins!

With the back seats folded down and the right front seat folded over them, you end up with an area 90 inches from dash to hatch. Get a friend (or two!) to help load it and you should have no problems, IMO. Once you get it where you're going, make certain to keep the fridge unplugged for a bit (my new one said 24 hours) after tipping it back upright in order to allow the refrigerant oil to settle back into the compressor. If you plug it in immediately, you'll likely fry the compressor.

Hmmm

Hmm....I say if you do end up doing it, make sure is upright for at least 24hrs before is plugged in. Also, keep safety in mind, just make sure is tied down really good...just in case you were to get rear ended you dont get hit by the fridge and endup getting hurt.

i closed the hatch with a 48" tall x20" round water heater in the box. it was a tight squeeze. you might be able to get it in but you'd have to get it on top of the front seat in order to close the hatch

I fit a 40 gallon water heater in my fit as well. I had my knees in my throat but other than that worked like a charm!

I have put six upper kitchen cabinets in mine. Both front seats up. I have also put 25, 40 pound bags of wood pellets for a pellet heating stove in it. The weight for the bags was a thousand pounds total. Plus my 220 pound backside. Probably not the best idea, but when you have to drive two hours because the stores are out around you, you will do what you need to do to heat the home stead. Oh yeah, I was still doing 70 with all that crap in there.

for a refrigerator if you lay it on its side you must wait 24 hours before plugging it in or it kills the fridge cooling system, and LCD TVs you can lay on their sides, its the Plasmas you can't lay on its side. lil FYI info

but the fit is a killer lil SUV minus the whole off road capability

I know this thread is kinda old, but it looks like the official "what did you stuff in your fit" thread, so here's my list:
8 people (crammed all over, 2 in the rear cargo area, for a late night trip to In'n'out)
a queen size mattress and box spring (box spring tied to the top, mattress folded like a taco and stuffed 3/4 way into the car, held by tie straps and bungees)
a motorcycle (laid on it's side, front wheel sticking out the back, tie straps and bungees)
two apartment's worth of ikea furniture. boxes sticking out the rear hatch and the rear passenger-side window

With the rear end loaded down and the rear hatch cracked open, the stock exhaust sounds super mean. I guess the sound bounces off the pavement and into the open hatch, but it sounds all burbly.

187 lbs is nothing.....i don't think any of my guy friends weight less.than that. even if u have 2 100 lbs chicks in the back it would still weight less than the fridge.
i've had a 42" lcd and a dishwasher in at the same time.
also atm machines (1), tools and a dolly...
