oem sport fit tire life

Any reports on the oem Dunlop mileage when worn out? I see some 30K numbers flying around the forums. Thanks

I got 31K out of the OEM Dunlops but I really pushed it. They needed to be changed at 28K and that was 85% rural highway driving.

Not a decent tire IMO.

i got 22k out of the stock sp31's until they showed belts on my fronts, the rears had about 20% left and about 9k of those miles i was lowered with no alignment lol

it really depends on your driving style and mostly has to do with your enviornment (pot holes, RXR tracks, hot/cold weather, blacktop/cement) alot of variables effect tire wear, but the biggest thing is proper alignment!!!! - i see fits come in my dealership with 25k and bald tires, then i see other fits with 35k+ and they have more miles to go, the difference is the latter ones have great service history, lots of rotations and atleast one alignment since purchase
i hope this helps

I am hoping to stretch my stockers by getting new Yokohoma's this spring with my white rims and then use the stockers from November to April. I'll store them in the garage and cover them to keep them dry.

haha... 11,800 miles and have signs of over-inflation and very prominent wearing... I'd say my car is now NOT safe in the rain... lost alot of the tread. is 35psi really that high? i mean i was just compensating for the really soft sidewalls on this thing! :/

edit* but then again, maybe this is why i shouldnt play JasonDoriftoWannabeHandBrakeFail all the time. cuz i kinda fixed the flat spots with rotating the tires, burning out and flooring it through turns to smooth out the tread :O

I got about 30~35k each on 2 seperate sets of those Dunlops, but there was a lot of sliding involved.

I just picked up my '07 w/ 25.5k miles on it . . . the fronts are pretty much TOAST - but the rears look like they're new. Dunno if they were replaced & then put on the back in an ill-advised rotation, but yeah, whatever. Got a brand new set of winters for now, and will get a good set of ultra-high performance rubber come spring.

All of that said, I was pleasantly surprised at the stock tires in the snow. They got me around in the storm that hit a couple days after I bought the car. No comparison to a good winter tire, of course, but at least not deadly.

maintaining your fit helps, but my stockers needed replacement at 28k, with regular rotations, but no alignments. and most of my drive is pretty flat highway.

not all tires are created equal and honda is known for putting craptastic tires on their cars off the lot.

my wife drove it for 24000 miles without ever rotating the tires, and the front ones are totally done.

^^i agree.

wow at some ppl only getting 30k outta their stock dunlops. i had ~38k on mine and could have easily gone for another 10k at the least. i just replaced them to get different tires. some of you guys must drive pretty aggressively on a daily basis compared to me. the tires aren't so bad really.

A hair less than 11,600 miles and 1 rotation done on these SP31s and they are beginning to show a little fatigue. I drive fairly aggressive so I'm guessing at around 20k miles, 25k max the tires will have to be changed.
