Most bang for the $ performance upgrade

Don't bother listening to morons like this guy. I have I/H/E and the only thing that's made a big difference in the overall feel of the car is the Blitz TC. Regardless of what people argue about what it does or can do, the feeling of what seems like an increase in the pep and power of the car is more than worth the money.
Only bother listening to him if you're one of those guys who gets a hardon from finding out that there's exactly 3 more hp available to you after spending $200+ on a cheesy bolt on, or ~5hp from a $500+ catback system. If you like driving your car without getting stiff willies from thinking about the minimal gains to be had with this car and modding, then try to find someone who has the Blitz TC to try it yourself. Pretty much guaranteed you'll be satisfied.

I know what the pro-TC people are talking about though. Sometimes I'll need to MOVE, but even with the throttle about 75% down, the car is just boggy as **** under 3500rpms. It's not the throttle, it's the torque, of which this car has 0

ANYWAYS i'm gonna go with the people who preach about tires. learning how to actually drive your car to its potential and THEN making the upgrades is how it should really be done.
the OP's $100 cap though leaves little for options. i guess you can get some used falken azenis...

My best bang-for-buck upgrade would be making a contraption to make the gas pedal HEAVIER. Shoot if I just set one of my work boots on it the thing falls to the floor! I'm sick of spinning tires and cramping my right calf because I can't feel the pedal pushing back.

Odd, I thought the car was torquey as funk for what it is, coming from a 1.6L with a 4-1 and intake setup that removed all go under 3500 rpm.

I don't mind the pedal feel. I did find it easier with my workboots one time, but usually if I have to wear my uniform home, I change into my sneakers before driving lol and I could never drive stick barefoot. I'd over-rev and blow the motor

i say a used nitrous kit...
with 100 in your budget its obtainable.. but if you only have a budget of 100...
put it in a high risk mutual fund and go to church prey for your money to multiply at a rediculous rate. get a better job... and wait till ya have a lil bit...
it works like this.. if you waste 100 bucks on some thing its gone.. if you develop a long term plan it will work..
if you are gonna turbo it.. spend the 100 on a turbo timer,
if your going n/a (might squeeze out 120hp..lol) try a vtec controller ..
id say wait.......
or a set of springs. atleast itl look good but for 100 bux i hope your 16.

okay i noticed a lot of ppl are hating on the blitz tc, and im not a rep for blitz tc either, but this mod is for acceleration response not for HP increase or 1/4 mile times, the acceleration response in the fit is very slow, and when ur on the freeway trying to change lanes, even with a heavy foot ur throttle will not open 100%, u can try stomping on it and see for urself looking at ur scan gauge, with the blitz throttle controller ur acceleration response is increased 4 times, and u can see an improvement when ur cruising and need to get up to speed to change lanes, with DBW there will always be lag and u cant change it with heavy shoes, its the embedded DBW programming within the ECU, u can clearly see it within the throttle characteristic in their chart within the SP2 mode

im not saying this is the best performance mod, but it does serve its purpose and makes DD easier on the freeway, im not trying to take my fit on the track with the blitz tc, and it wasnt intended for that purpose, so dont hate on it until u have tried it out, test it out first if u live in California, u can test it at the blitz dist. office for free and then decide
