Whats the RMS on these anyway? Looks awesome and saves a lot of space but if it doesn't sound right to me its not worth it....

500 watt is the max for the 10w3. You'll want to run about 300-350 rms to it. I wonder if they sell just the box since I already have the 10w3, hmmmm.

So if 500 is the max, what is the RMS? I thought i knew these things but i dont know lmao someone needs to correct me before i make a fool of myself! I was always told to look for the RMS instead of the total. Right now I'm setup with a Infinity Basslink 2. It's supposed to be 200RMS, sounds nice but still needs more. I kind of downgraded from a Kicker L5 12" in my old car to this Basslink

I thought that might throw you off.......500 is indeed the maximum RMS power rating, which means it's safe/warranted to use any amp up to 500 watt RMS. PEAK power for this sub would be around 1000 watts. Referring to the table below, JL's optimal recommendation for an amp (in RMS) looks to be from 300watt RMS - 500watt RMS.

I personally wouldn't run 500 into the speaker, the way my amp is setup it can run 400rms to it and when it does you can tell it's straining. But if you're willing to be without a sub for a bit it looks as though JL will cover it under warranty if you blow it at 500 rms.

which you can find cheaper on other sites. It is still nice to keep that clean near oem look though
