Difference between 07 and 08?

I just bought a 08MT
I decided not to get a sports because I'm going to put a wald body kit on it. Was that a mistake on my part?

Any difference with the 07 and 08 body?

However I think the Wald kit is only for the JDM fit, so you would have to do a front end conversion to get it to fit.

I opted for the sport because i like the factory rims, the sound sytem, and cruise control on it. But each to his own. I almost bought the base becasue the dealership i went to only had that one in stock so they said they could give me a deal on it. I payed around 2,000 more to get the sport i wanted in the color and MT dilivered to me. Some days i whish i would have gotten the base and saved some money. But i love my fit so i am happy. If ur happy with her that is all that matters

I almost got the base as well, but it was more of a "I don't NEED the sport, sure it looks nice, but..." Believe it or not, my Mom was the one to convince me to get the sport. Figured that if I was finally buying a brand new car I might as well get the one I really want. Two years on & I'm so happy I went sport.

end threadjack.

The Sport comes with cruise control, while the base does not. That could be a big thing for some people.

Since I use my base fit for runabouts within the city and around it, I am happy with the base Fit.

Base is good for modding since most of the things you get on a sport will be eventually taken off....

I got a sport and the only factory thing on it is the paddle shifter, the cruise control, and the oem tweeter. The fog lights, spoiler, rims, deck.... all part out long ago...

dunno if this will help.... I think 08 has a keyhole on the driver side door, and 07 doesn't...

There's nothing else I've noticed about the body.

Sports is a better pacakage if you ask me, unless you're a base MT eco freak. LOL. Seats are better, fog lights, sport wheels, underbody kit, spoiler, better stereo system with more speakers + MP3 player & Ipod Jack....for I believe it's an additional 2K? I say it's a good deal.

The sport doesn't have key hole in the back gate. I got base because
1. I want to change the steering wheel to a JDM Momo CTR
2. CF hatch so i lose key hole anyway
3. Bodykit I don't need the wing or lips As most likely i'll change them anyway.
4. I've already changed the Rims
5. Stereo and Speakers were gone a month after i got the car.

The ONLY thing i regret is the cruise control. But like i said i was gonna swap the steering wheel anyway.

I think the TPMS is the only difference between USDM '07 and '08 Fits.
