Question GD1 P0302 code after changing plugs and coils

Hi everybody,

I recently bought a beautiful yellow Honda Jazz/Fit from 2004 as my first car. I have already driven it across Europe without any issues and it runs absolutely perfect.
However, since a week or two it will randomly throw P0302 error codes, misfire on cylinder 2. I have since replaces all plugs and coils myself and it still throws the P0302 code at the same irregular interval. I have checked the coil and plugs from cylinder 2 and there is no carbon on them and they are also tight (20NM). I never notice any weird behaviour from the car while driving. It always runs smoothly, but the light still comes on sometime. I never notice a loss in power or shaking and I still get the same fuel efficiency.
To me, it feels like the codes always come on when I am taking a sharp corner at a low speed. When I am driving in a straight line it never happens. Also taking sharp corners at on-off ramps at the highway are perfect. At highway speeds I also have no problems.

I am thinking about replacing the injector of cylinder 2 and doing a valve adjustment.
Has anybody experienced the same problem before? And does anybody have a tip or suggestion on how to fix the issue?

Since it always indicates cylinder 2, and you've already replaced coils and plugs, you could try swapping injectors and see if the problem moves, though getting at those is a hassle (requiring removal of the air intake). Removing the spark plugs is a good opportunity to do a compression test, too. Valve lash adjustment should be done regularly and might help, plus you can inspect/clean the inlet ports and valves while you have access.

You could also just try throwing an injector/fuel system cleaner in your fuel tank and see if that helps. Caltex Techron is supposed to be pretty effective.

It's intriguing that it only happens when cornering. Makes me wonder if it could be a wiring issue, or perhaps a fuel delivery issue.
