AC hit and miss ... works first 3-5minutes of Car ride than diies
I have fit/jazz 2007 . AC kicks in and works fine first 3 minutes of ride than dies off. Very noisy when working... Puzzled where to start!

#1 check AC clutch pack. Hopefully that’s all it is. If he compressor is blown, which happens, it’s approaching a thousand dollars in repairs at a shop. It’s a few hundred for a compressor with clutch pack, then the service cost. If you choose to do it yourself, please purge the refrigerant responsibly!

If you get cold air for any length of time, your issue is not empty refrigerant, but either the compressor clutch relay or the compressor clutch and field coil themselves.
Check out this video:
As an aside, attempting to run the AC with empty refrigerant won't harm anything, as the compressor requires a minimum amount of pressure in the system to run. This is governed by the AC pressure switch. If it's too low or too high, the compressor simply won't run at all. No harm.
