New to this. Engine compatibility question

First post! But have a ‘07 automatic Fit Sport with a bad head gasket caused by heat. What are my options? I noticed several generations of Honda Fit engines on eBay. Obviously I would like to get one with the lowest miles. Can you put at Gen2 or Gen3 into a Gen1?

Ok, I just want the most affordable way to get my car running again just a daily driver. I can’t afford to buy a different car. A reputable shop quoted me $1000 for either repair the current engine or to swap the engine for a used one. I don’t know much about cars besides routine maintenance. So if looking for a salvaged engine, are my options then limited to only ‘07-‘08 automatic engines for my ‘07? No point in looking at ‘09 and newer engines then?
