Suggestions for 07 tune up please..

Hello folks.

I bought a 07 manual beater with a heater with 137K on it a while ago and love it. I changed the engine and tranny oil. But even though it seams to run ok I wonder what the group suggests I should have my mechanic proactively do?

Should I have my mechanic change the plugs air filter and adjust the valve lash? Should I have my mechanic bleed the brakes and clutch?

Yeah, I know I could do these things myself, but I'm super busy with life and really like supporting local businesses and his rates are reasonable.. Or am I over thinking this and just run til fail, because it only cost me $1800?

Thanks!

You can physically check the plugs and air filter. Adjusting the valves would be a good idea. Check the brake pads and rear shoes if you can. At least change the brake fluid if needed and the coolant. The clutch you can wait until it starts to slip. If there were any recalls, then get that checked too. Enjoy your Fit.

Personally for my used cars, I've changed anything if maintenance is unknown.

Safety and having a running car is better than an accident or being stranded.

Yup.

If these things have never been done during your ownership of the car, then you should do 'em.

BTW, the air filter takes 90 seconds to replace. It will take you longer to buy it than to install it.
