catalytic converter - which one

Hi guys , could you recommend me a catalytic converter from your personal experience?
There are non expensive brands sold by Napa, Autozone, O'Railly (around $350).
No need of CARB catalytic converter.

I just put a “Bosal” brand one in my 08’

i think it was 175$ from rock auto.

Fitment wasn’t 100% perfect - It’s super close to the swaybar at full droop. But its fine once it’s on the ground.

hey NEGD3,

are you happy with your bosal cat? did you do it to fix a p0420 code? if so, did the code go away?

thanks!

I bought MagnaFlow California Catalytic Converter 5461767 for $440.
Installation notes
New replacement bolts (cat to muffler) 3x17mm, tread M10-1.25 class 8.8(grade 5) came with cat, but no bolts. Found in AutoZone 8.8 in O’Reilly 10.9. Make sure the old gasket from the top pipe (springs) is removed. Labor time 2hs. Deleted the code with a scan tool.
Bolts and nuts
3x14mm 24 lb. Ft, pipes cat to muffler; rusted, Sprayed 2x with penetrating oil didn’t help. Used impact wrench (electrical) to remove rusted bolts.
4x10 – shield to cat – not applicable for the new cat
2x12 top pipe to the engine - 16 lb. Ft
1 oxygen sensor 22mm (special tool rent) – 33 lb. Ft
