Protecting J's Racing CF Lip?

I recently ordered a J's carbon fiber USDM front lip and was wondering if there are any splitters from other cars that would fit so I can protect the lip or possibly a shop that can make one?

You might be able to make a template out of cardboard and try to bring that to a metal shop local to you. Also, you might be able to get it wrapped in that 3m clear bra vinyl. Maybe double up on the bottom to protect against scrapes.

Hmm, you think going with an aluminium plate under it would be a good path? I might go that route if it's not astronomically expensive..

I think it would work. The only thing that sucks is that you will probably have to drill holes in the lip so the splitter isn’t flopping against the lip. Doesn’t hurt to give a few places a call with rough estimates of dimensions to get an idea of what it would cost.

Realistically the J's lip for a Fit doesn't hang that low or that far out. If you're careful you shouldn't have too many issues.

I had one on my GD and scraped extremely infrequently.

I have a J's lip on my S2000 with a much longer nose and am moderately low without issue.

I see. I guess I'm more concerned regarding cracking if anything. I don't mind the bottom being banged up.

On a side note, where did you get that J's Racing grill? I've looked around and it seems Seibon Carbon used to sell one but the fitment wasn't great and as far as I know, J's Racing doesn't make one for the USDM front. Did you custom fit the JDM version yourself?

I've hit my S2000 J's lip on a lot of stuff and it hasn't cracked (YET). *knocks on table*

I bought my J's grille from a member here back in 2011 or so. It was a J's Racing USDM grille, by J's Racing. They may be discontinued these days? But they were made back in the day.
