Junk yard visit (wheel cylinder wear analyses)
I went to the junk yard again
Gates of Heaven!
I removed starter for my future project
I managed to get it out without removing the oil dipstick tube , just by rotating it certain way (orange arrow)
I've noticed that some Fits are showing brake fluid seepage from the wheel cylinders so I took one cylinder apart from the car that had routine brake fluid replacements (every 3 years or so)
The cylinder bore had no deposit or bad corrosion but instead showed 2 wear marks:
A crescent shape wear pattern at piston pivot point inside of the wheel cylinder
Another photo
So... master cylinder might have one too
Good luck replacing fluid)
