The GREAT "transferable parts from GE8 to GD3 thread
Here it is, the GREAT GE8 to GD3 part swap thread.
A few things i'm interested in are the steering wheel, front driver & passenger seats, rear magic seats with the concealed compartment, and the ivtec engine.

i am curious about if the L15A7 cylinder head and intake manifold can be swapped onto the GD3 L15A block. i'd also like to find out if the new manual transmission can be swapped.
if not, i might be considering swapping the whole motor/transmission.

Im curious about the head as well....
As far as the steering wheel... it DOES fit. It is the same as the FG/FA Civics.

on edit: not DOHC, i was mistaken
Dual over-head cam instead of single over-head cam. it runs on all 16 valves at all times, and switches to a more aggressive cam lobe in 'vtec'. on our current GD3 L15A motor, it runs on 12 valves normally, but once in vtec, it runs on all 16 valves.

shift knob
I'd like to see if the threads for the shift knob are the same. Honda's accessory catalog says they're not compatible but I think they're full of it.

i would love to swap heads out
dohc 1st gen fit ftmfw
and rear seats would be cool too even tho i kinda like my rear seats, one thing i don't really like about the fit is there's no sneaky compartment to hide things, no matter how immature that sounds lol

From what I've read, the head alone is not going to be a big improvment. It's the new piston and rod design that helps make this increase in hp. Don't get me wrong, i-VTEC would be nice, but I'm not sure if it will help a whole lot...

it's just a more agressive free-flowing head compared to the restrictive L15A head
